Readers' Competition

Message from teen author, Tash Bell
Hi there, and welcome to The Swish – home of upcycling, creativity, and the GGSWE Swish Badge ’25!
The heart of all the fun is The Swish YA novel. Appealing to ages 10-16yrs, it tells the feel-good story of Kat, a girl who sews and upcycles her own clothes.
Kat Parker has a secret talent for sewing. She can turn old clothes into stunning new outfits with just a flash of her needle. But when her parents can't pay the bills, dare she try to make her own gown for the school ball - or will the haters rip her to shreds?
The Swish 'is properly interesting... a teen novel about creativity, confidence & upcycling clothes. About time!'
Dawn French, comedian and writer
Every book sold helps to fund Swish upcycling workshops for Young Carers and youth charities - thanks so much for your support

You don’t need to read the book to do your badge, but I hope Kat’s story of creativity and resilience will inspire you to believe in yourselves, and keep sewing!
Send your answers to the 3 questions below to hello@theswish.co.uk for a chance to win a cute, SUSTAINABLE FASHIONISTA sewing kit –
Win, and a flock of butterfly motifs will come flying to you!
